Elements
All sacred work includes elements. In the Munay-Ki there are many ceremonies that play a part in the initiations and the integration of the Rites. We are entering into deep spiritual connections with amazing ancestral lineages and we do this with Andean traditions that have been modified for the Western culture with the blessings of the men and women who are the ancestors of these cultures given through Alberto Villoldo and Marcela Lobos.

PLEASE NOTE:
The lessons below are "elements" that will be incorporated into the Rites. You can choose to apply them now or use them when be called for within the Rite itself. |

Despacho
Despacho is the Spanish word for offering. We understand that in order to invoke spirit we must start by giving an offer with good intentions to Mother Earth, Grand Mother Moon, Grand Father Sun and all of our Relations.
Please Note: You can choose to do a Despacho anytime. However, this will be part of your Homeplay in one of the Rites.

Homeplay
A much funner way to describe "homework" is "homeplay". When we see the word "homework" it might have a negative connotation for us. However, when we see the word "play" in "homeplay" it feels so much lighter and positive. Homeplay is simply a time to reflect, journal and take an action towards creation whether it be an altar, a mandala or a ceremony.

Glossary

Spirit Water
Spirit Water is something we make in ceremony to be used to open sacred space. We introduce this teaching in the 5th Rite - The Day Keeper - Pampa Mesayok Karpay.
Please Note: If you have any apprehension of using alcohol for your Spirit Water I would suggest you make it with water. Your Spirit Water will only have a shelf life of 48 hours. |
Once you have completed these 12 lessons you are ready to begin the rites.
