Money Stories Series with Liane Cherrett Welcome to Liane Cherrett money story. You'll want to grab a notebook and take some notes. So many nuggets in this one. Her environment imprinted on her believing that the man was the bread winner and the woman took care of the house, children she played the maternal role. Liane had two grand mothers who lived lives in contrast; one was a single mom working 3 jobs to provide for her family, the other dedicated her time and energy to charities and travelling. At the age of 14 she worked 3 jobs sometimes around the clock. Her goal was to travel and not have to be tied to a job while doing this. Money came and went. It was whimsical. It will come when it comes and go when it goes. However, this belief was not sustainable. Liane realized she needed to establish a foundation that was rooted then from there was able to come from a place of trust. "Money never mattered to me. I did not make it matter." Liane realized at the stage where she had a family of her own she no longer wanted finances to take up more space than it needed to in her head. This is where she realized she needed to take care of the business of life. I'll say that again. "We need to take care of the business of LIFE. Money does not make us happy. However, the practicality of that foundation allows us to pivot in all ways." There is so much goodness in this conversation you'll just have to listen to catch it all. It is transformational!
